Lynell Baker Childrey Matthews
August 26, 1935 - July 1, 2014
Lynell Childrey Matthews, 78, of Springdale, Ark., passed from this life on July 1,
2014. She was born on Aug. 26, 1935, in Warren, Ark., to Thomas and Edna Baker.
Lynell served God faithfully, loved her family and gave of her time and talents to
all who needed her. We will miss her laugh, her smile and her spirit, but we are
thankful that we will see her again in heaven.
Lynell is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, H.L. "Lou" Childrey;
brother, Boyce Baker; sister, Bitsy Baker Million; and great-granddaughter, Harper
Roberts.
Lynell is survived by her husband, James Matthews; her daughter, Linda Shaddock
and her husband Jimmy of Rogers; grandchildren, Amber Roberts and her husband
Jerry, Justin Shaddock and his wife, Whitney; four great-grandchildren and other
family and friends.
The Funeral Service was held at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 3, 2014, at First Assembly
of God Church in Springdale. Burial was at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 5, 2014, at
Memorial Park Cemetery in White Hall, Ark.
