Lynn Carol Russell Ellen

Lynn Carol Ellen, 77, passed away Wednesday April 9 at College Station Medical Center.

Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 12, at Rest-Ever Memorial Park
Cemetery in College Station.

Lynn was born May 2, 1936 in Nevada County, Arkansas the daughter of Carl and Opal
(Grisham) Russell. Family always came first. Lynn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother and friend.

Lynn is preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Gerald Nafe.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Sonny Ellen of Bryan; son and daughter-in-law,
Bland and Wendy Ellen of Pflugerville; daughters and son-in-law, Terri and Mark Hadaway of
Atlanta, GA, and Kelli Ellen of Los Angeles, CA.; granddaughters, Alyssa Ellen, Brittney
Briscoe and husband Ryan, Ashley Ellen; great-grandsons, Luke Ryan Briscoe and Brody
Bland Ellen.

I had just shaved and had done my apple enhancements for the HHS cheerleading entertainment by
Ellis  and me.

Lynn Russell was my date for the Jr. Sr. prom.  Jesse, Sonny and I triple dated with Donna and Patsy  
many times during those last two years of high school.   

Many people thought that Lynn and her sister, Donna, were twins, but they weren’t.  Lynn was double
promoted by Mrs. Horace Fuller (Barky’s mom) in first grade at Bodcaw.  Their mother, Opal Grisham
Russell, was president Bill Clinton’s aunt.   She spent her final days in Waco, TX in assisted living.
