John and Lynda Keck's wedding was February 9, 1957, at the Missionary Baptist
Church in Van Nuys, CA followed by a reception. Jesse Duke was the best man.
Several other Marines attended the wedding. Lynda's sister-in-law, Sunny Mabe,
was the bridesmaid. John and Lynda spent a couple of days in Costa Mesa and a
couple in New Port Beach, CA. on their honeymoon. They lived on Camp Pendleton
until John was discharged in March 1958.
Their first little boy, John G. Keck II, "Johnny" was born January 10, 1958. Johnny
died March 7, 1959. The Kecks had two more sons, several months apart, neither
of which survived but a day or two after birth. On February 9, 1961, their oldest
son David was born on their fourth wedding anniversary. What a celebration that
must have been! Eric, their younger son, was born September 10, 1963. He has a
daughter, Stephanie Eliszbeth who is 14 and their one-and-only grandchild.

Anniversary. "In fact it was almost a non event," wrote John. "That's another
story," he said.
